About this tour

Come for the Northern Lights. Discover more of Lapland along the way. A weather-led journey from Rovaniemi with two nights of aurora hunting.

Read the full descriptionShow less

Spend three days exploring Lapland in a small group, with two nights dedicated to the Northern Lights. Instead of returning to Rovaniemi after each hunt, stay near the area chosen for the next evening.

Your guide compares cloud forecasts, current conditions, road safety, driving distances and rest time. The journey may explore Finnish or Swedish Lapland, or remain entirely in Finland. No particular country, destination or attraction is guaranteed.

Discover Lapland along the way

Depending on conditions, possible routes include Abisko and Kiruna in Swedish Lapland, the fells around Kilpisjärvi, Jokkmokk and Gällivare, or northern Finland towards Inari and Utsjoki. Scenic stops, short walks and local food suggestions fit around the weather and the group’s rest.

Accommodation and your travel budget

The tour price is €850 per person. Accommodation for both nights is separate: you choose, book and pay your accommodation provider directly. Meals and any optional activities are also booked and paid independently. We provide general information about the overnight area but do not book or collect payment for these services.

Wait until the route is clarified before making non-refundable accommodation bookings. Ask our team about route confirmation and the applicable roadtrip cancellation terms before booking.

Before you travel

Departure is at 12:00 from Rovaniemi, with return planned around 18:00 on day three, Finnish local time. Allow flexibility for weather and road conditions; a same-day onward flight connection is not guaranteed. The meeting point is Scandic City Rovaniemi parking area, Poromiehentie 11. Confirm pickup arrangements with our team.

Bring warm winter clothing and any travel documents needed for crossing into Sweden. Expect long driving days and time outdoors. The specific rate and cancellation terms shown in Bókun apply; review them before completing your booking.

Flights, additional nights, insurance, alcohol and paid activities are excluded. Availability, minimum stays and any booking fees still need checking.

How these examples were calculated

The supplied budget model divides two apartment nights, €80 final cleaning and two €20 linen sets between two adults. Both extras are counted even where the property offers them as options.

The €150-€220 meal allowance covers an estimated two breakfasts, three lunches, two dinners and small refreshments. Adjust it if breakfast is already included in your room. It is an estimate, not a restaurant quote.

These figures come from the supplied content package and have not been freshly checked for live availability. Boundary dates, minimum stays, weekends, sharing arrangements and compulsory charges may change the total. A €850 tour price is used in every example total; use the checkout total for your actual booking.
